Bio
Phoebe Harris grew up in upstate NY surrounded by forests and farms. An avid reader, even as a child, she had read through most of the classics by the time she turned 11. Phoebe was a gifted child reading on a college level by 5th grade and even skipped over 6th grade. However her plans to attend an Ivy League were destroyed after an assault when she was 12.
It would take years of survived suicide attempts and domestic violence for Phoebe to finally seek therapy to heal from her past. After leaving her abuser she was able to save and buy her first home. From there she flourished in her new community becoming a Girl Scout leader, PTO volunteer, and volunteer at her local cat shelter.
Phoebe moved to Mississippi in 2022 with her current husband and her two younger daughters. In her free time, she enjoys serving on the board of several local committees and volunteering with non-profit organizations.
Inspired by her daughter Phoebe entered a local pageant with her daughter where she received her first crown. Continuing her pageant journey she competed in the Universal Miss Nationals in 2024. She currently holds the Mississippi state title for the Ms. division with International United Miss. She’ll be trying for her chance at their International United Ms. title this coming July.
Phoebe hopes to encourage other women her age to give pageants a try. Through pageantry she has learned that you’re never to old to live out a dream!. After many years of being a mother and a wife, pageants have given her back a feeling of self-accomplishment by setting a goal and achieving it for herself as a woman.
In addition to selling custom tumblers that she creates to raise funds for charities Phoebe, a certified presenter with several mental health organizations, is also a strong advocate for Mental Health, Suicide, and Domestic Violence Awareness. By sharing her story, through giving speeches and with her writing, she is helping to normalize conversations surrounding these topics and is spreading awareness of the resources that are available. She hopes to prevent other children and women from going through what she has.
